Oonopids

I hcsc spiders are often brightly colored red, pink, orange, or pale yellow. The abdomen may have toughened plates on both dorsal and lateral surfaces. Most species have six eyes, grouped closely together, but some have only two or four eyes, or none at all. They do not spin webs but move about in leaf litter after dark, preying on small insects. A few cat the remains of prey that they find in the webs of other spiders.

oonoes domesticlis is found in European houses. In southerly areas, it can also be found out of doors. It moves in a highly distinctive way, interspersing short dashes with slow walking.
