Jugal lobe in HW half as long as submedian cell or longer. 6-7 mm. This is a small and rare group occurring in the Southwest. They nest in the ground and at least some species provision the nest with weevil larvae.

Potter Wasps, Subfamily Eumeninae. Most are 10-20 mm. and black with yellow or white markings. Middle tibiae with 1 apical spur. Mandibles elongate, knifelike. This is a large and widely distributed group, and many species are very common.
