The Projection of Living Insects

Living insects can be demonstrated to a group by means of projection, and the effect is much like a motion picture. Aquatic insects in a watch glass can be projected for small groups with a photographic enlarger or similar projector, or the insects can be put into a slide-sized water cell and projected for larger groups with a slide projector — the more practical method. The construction of such a water cell is illustrated below.
